A website domain (or vanity URL) is a fancy way of saying “website address”. Example: google.ca.
Maintaining your domain is a required ongoing expense. You’ll be required to continue paying your domain provider to maintain your domain at agreed to intervals regardless (for example: monthly or annually).
Does either of the following scenarios relate to you?
Do you have an existing website and/or website domain? If this applies to you, you may have purchased your domain through a domain provide (such as GoDaddy) or you’ve had a third-party company make the arrangements for you.
If you have an existing domain, you can:
Transfer your domain: you can move your domain to Veriday and they’ll host it on your behalf at a cost of $5.00/monthly.
Do it yourself: you can have your domain redirected through your domain hosting platform to your new Digital Agent website. Veriday will point your website to your domain (no cost).
How do I purchase one?
This scenario applies to users that don’t have a website domain (and need one). You can:
Contact Veriday: our vendor provides a service where they do most of the heavy lifting for you! Veriday will purchase the domain and then point it to your site. They’ll ask you to provide the domain that you’re looking to use (you should provide multiple) and they’ll look into purchasing it (if available). There’s a cost of $5.00 a month.
If you’re interested in this service, you can reach out to them directly: firstname.lastname@example.org
Do it yourself: you can purchase a domain through a domain provide (such as GoDaddy). Once you’ve purchased your domain, Veriday will point your website to your domain (no cost).
The average cost for domain purchasing can vary in price but often starts as low as $10/per year plus applicable taxes. The cost also depends on whether the domain is .ca, .com, etc.
To learn more about Veriday’s hosting service please see the “Website domain” page. This includes average costs compared against maintaining your own domain and what Veriday provides as part of this service.
