Marc began his career in 1989 with TD Bank, in the management training program where he worked in person banking, investments, personal credit, commercial credit, financial planning, and branch management.
The next phase of Marc’s career included a 5-year stint as a financial consultant in the automotive industry before establishing Horizon Financial Group with his wife, Valerie, in 2001.
Today, Marc is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the firm’s investment philosophy and is primarily focused on expanding Horizon Financial Group’s pension division.

Valerie began her career with CIBC in 1997, where she developed her skills in financial planning, sales, and commercial & professional credit. In 1998 she became an independent financial advisor, offering more comprehensive planning and unique products to her clients.
Valerie partnered with her husband Marc Sayer and established Horizon Financial Group that same year.
Today, Valerie leads the team’s financial planning services, implements all compliance regulations, and spearheads all marketing initiatives for the company.
With more than 25 years of industry experience, Barrie has become an invaluable member of his client’s advisory team. His dedication to helping his clients with their insurance needs separates him from traditional life insurance advisors who only focus on the next sale.

After a successful management career with one of Canada’s largest life insurance companies, Brian embraced his entrepreneurial spirit and launched the next phase of his career as a Certified Financial Planner.

Greg spent the early part of his career working with an international consulting firm where he learned how important it was to master the “numbers” to ensure his clients were receiving the maximum financial value from their group insurance contracts. He consults with clients to design the ideal benefit plan to achieve their corporate objectives.
Helping his group insurance clients to optimize the value of their annual spend is Greg’s primary focus in support of their total HR & Compensation strategy for their businesses.
